our mission

Our mission is to be a family of Christ followers that reach into our community and beyond to lead others to the saving grace of Christ. As Jesus modeled for us in

John 3:16, we will be a community that LOVES unconditionally, that GIVES generously, that BELIEVES unswervingly, and that enjoys LIFE abundantly.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

John 3:16 ESV

Love God, Love neighbor

Jesus replied, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All of the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Matthew 22:37-40 NIV

Love is not a weak word. In its truest form, love is powerful. It has the power to shake nations, to stand against evil, to change hearts, and to free those who are bound by sin and shame. Jesus walked in love, always, We will strive to follow his example of love and do the same.

The leader is the servant

"The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and those in authority over them are called benefactors. But not so with you. Rather, let the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves."

[Jesus said] "But I am among you as one who serves."

Luke 22:25-26, 27 ESV

In a world where a greed for power is often the driving force behind leadership and authority, Jesus, as he often did, turns this idea on its head for his Kingdom. He tells us that the first will be last, and that true leadership is first a desire to serve. We will strive to be a people who are not driven by a lust for power and control, but will instead use our power, authority, leadership, and resources to serve others.

we forgive as we were forgiven

"Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to kiss my feet. You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment. Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven--for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little." And he said to her, "Your sins are forgiven."

Luke 7:44-48 ESV

As followers of Christ, we are profoundly grateful for the lavish grace God has poured out on all of us and the forgiveness of sins he has freely offered. Our gratitude guides us to model this same forgiveness to others. It is the hallmark of a true believer to model this Christ-like forgiveness to the world.

Generosity is not a moment but a lifestyle

It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice.

For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered forever.

He is not afraid of bad news; his hear is firm, trusting in the Lord.

His heart is steady; he will not be afraid, until he looks in triumph on his adversaries.

He has distributed freely; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever....

Psalm 112:5-9 ESV

Generosity for the Christ follower is not a one-time act, a moment of charity, or an occasional response to crisis. It is a lifestyle, a decision to use your time, your resources, and your talents to serve God and others. We will be generous to our community, our church, to our neighbors, to our enemies, and to those in need globally. We understand that through our generosity not only will God multiply our efforts for maximum impact but our own hearts and lives will be blessed abundantly, beyond what we could ask or imagine.
